Portrait of David Perron, founder of Aequitas Consultus

David Perron works with companies that want to make artificial intelligence a working asset: setting an AI strategy, steering adoption, training teams, and automating the tasks that weigh on day-to-day work.

He has also held on to his original line of work: advising and guiding foreign fintechs as they enter new markets, Europe in particular, building their go-to-market business plans, and helping companies optimise their working capital.

He holds an Executive Master in Artificial Intelligence from Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, alongside a master's degree in international finance and a master's degree in corporate finance, and he puts that training to practical use: programmes built on participants' real cases, agents assembled live in the session, and automations designed to run on their own. AI generates; people design and validate. That principle runs through everything he does.

Earlier in his career, at JPMorgan, Barclays and HSBC, he led trade finance and working capital businesses. Each new role came with the same mandate, to grow the client base and the revenue line, and he delivered. Among other milestones, he created and structured the first programme for assigning tax receivables owed by the French State, designed to pre-finance the French corporate tax credit known as the CICE, and he rolled out supply chain finance solutions with ESG criteria built in.

From that career he draws the conviction that guides his work: artificial intelligence creates value only when teams take ownership of it and build it into the way they work. His aim is to make the practice of AI approachable and to demystify it, so that it is met as an opportunity rather than a threat.

A young auditor with France's Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defence (IHEDN) and a reserve officer in the French Navy, he also gave seventeen years to the French Red Cross, where he led a departmental unit. He lives in Paris.

On a separate note, he is the author of a science fiction novel, published by Ashcroft Édition.
